Marcel’s Bio
Age: 25–30
The lowest-ranking employee at Imprimerie Valmont. Insecure, kind-hearted but painfully self-conscious. Hopelessly in love with Natalie but believes his status makes him unworthy. Dreams of respect amongst peers. Steered by Lucien, Marcel perceives that winning the office prize coat will attract Natalie to him. After multiple humiliations and seeing Francois win the coat, he accepts Lucien’s cursed coat, gaining temporary status and confidence. Ultimately exposed, abandoned, and broken, he dies of a broken heart. All he ever wished for was to love and be loved by Natalie.
He’s deeply/passionately in love, prone to big office blunders and also very funny. He has big dreams of elevating himself in society. He makes bad decisions. Full of love, regret, frustration and dreams!
