Lucien

Lucien’s Bio

Age: 38–55

The Devil in disguise, posing as a tailor. Lives to strike Faustian deals, but his recent failures have made him desperate. For this reason, Lucien fixates on Marcel, the lowest status and seemingly most insignificant character, the one he feels he could entice, convincing him that status and ambition will win him love. He watches Marcel very closely – entering his dreams, sowing seeds and connecting ambition and affection for Natalie through an object – the coat. His devilish coat grants Marcel temporary success before ultimately sealing his fate. Although desperate and staving, Lucien lives for the thrill, the detail and the craft.
